Phew! My dressing table looks SO much better now everything's organised. Which tips will you be trying?
Hi, have read several of your articles and you keep mentioning over the door shoe storage. I have looked in all the shops locally but cannot find one, can you tell me where you get yours?
Hi Sandra. We get ours from Amazon. I'd recommend this style, as it has clear pockets to allow you to easily find what you're looking for: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pocket-Door-Hanging-Organiser-Storage/dp/B001CTAN1Y?&_encoding=UTF8&tag=exphomtip-21&linkCode=ur2&linkId=1cc7f4bab51bc17e8b07f0c40356d3da&camp=1634&creative=6738
I use a bathroom sponge to keep my earrings together. Just push the posts into the sponge & you'll never loose one again. Keeps them tidy as well for that morning rush
What a great idea!
My make up drawer is organised with a cutlery tray, bought from a charity shop. There are various sizes and configurations around so just look out for one that will fit your needs.
LOVE this idea!
I've read dozens and dozens of "clever storage solutions" articles. I've collected plastic take-away trays. lots and lots of handy storage containers, I've decluttered my bathroom and dressing room and make-up etc. I now have dozens of assorted storage containers of varying sizes spread all across my living room, office, hallway, stairways etc. I've no idea what to do with them or where to put them now. I can't find anything because I don't remember where I've put things. It takes me longer to scrabble my way thru the assorted boxes of things than it did to find the things I was trying to organise before I tried organising them! It's been three weeks now and I'm losing the will to live (not really, but I have lost interest and heart) My partner is not happy. Everything is a mess. I am thinking better to throw everything away and start all over again. With a better "clever storage solution" SIGH!!
Sounds like this system isn't working for you. Have you tried labelling your storage boxes, so that you know what's inside them?
Joanne A: Thank you!! I wish I'd thought of that... it seems such an obvious and simple solution... I can't believe I was so myopic! I'm on it! Crystal is opaque by comparison. Thanks again xx
You're very welcome!
