1. Keep cookies fresh
There's nothing worse than a stale cookie is there? Help save your precious treats from this terrible plight by putting them in a ziplock bag and adding some sugar cubes. Now you can sleep soundly at night.
2. Keep cut flowers fresh

6. Clean greasy hands

I regularly burn my tongue (the curse of being a 'greedy guts') - to soothe the pain, sprinkle a pinch of sugar over the affected area.
8. Make rock candy

9. Prolong your lipstick cover
You've got a long night out ahead of you and your lip colour must remain bright and bold. Apply lipstick, then sprinkle some sugar onto your lips. Wait for a minute and then lick off all the sugar. This will extend the colour by drawing moisture from the lipstick. Amazing!
10. Get rid of grass stains
Enjoying grass sports? Make a paste of sugar and water then apply to your grass stain. Allow it to sit for an hour then chuck it in the wash. Easy!
11. Caramelised onions

12. Bug bites
Have you been bitten by a bug? Grab a damp cloth, mash a sugar cube with it and apply to the area. This will help you with the pain and remove the swelling.

14. Foot spa treatment
Using sugar, milk, water and your favourite moisturiser you can have a wonderful foot spa in your own home! Wikihow.com have a step-by-step guide to help you on your way to relaxing those tootsies and they'll be soothed and smooth in no time.
15. Put it on avocado

16. Clean your coffee grinder
Eliminate odours and clean your precious coffee grinder by pouring a quarter cup of sugar into it. Let is run for a few minutes and enjoy a cleaner grinder, free of a buildup of oils and dirt.
