1. Keep cookies fresh

There's nothing worse than a stale cookie is there? Help save your precious treats from this terrible plight by putting them in a ziplock bag and adding some sugar cubes. Now you can sleep soundly at night.

2. Keep cut flowers fresh

Cut flowers at a slant under running tap water, then add sugar to a vase of water and stir until it's dissolved. Now you can enjoy fresh flowers for longer. Visit 10 uses for an old bouquet of flowers for further inspiration.

3. Cure hiccups with a teaspoon of sugar

4. Help keep cheese mould-free

Firstly YUM. Secondly, it's a real shame that I'll probably have to wait until Christmas to make this! Mommymusings.com have created an all-natural scrub which uses both brown and white sugar. It's the perfect homemade treat, or you could give it away as a present.

    Unfortunately, the other night, I got a nasty insect bite, but then recalled the tip I'd read, and so instead of cream, instead, I rubbed some sugar on the spot, and yes,you're right, relief I got! But here's an issue I encountered, which left the problem unsurmounted! Yes, it soothed the nasty bite, but before long I saw a flight of hungry bugs, who all agreed my arm's exactly what they need, perhaps the worst thing to befall is sugar-addicted creepy-crawlies!!!

    hi I'm a Diabetic on insulin , loved your tips on sugar but the licking lips one I couldn't do but will think about trying sweetner like canderel , to see if has similar effect though . let you know how that works out !! In fact I might substitute it with cookies too .
