Spots occur when pores become blocked. This happens when excess sebum is produced, which can happen for many reasons, and is unable to escape, causing bacteria to build up. this combination causes acne. For people that suffer from spots regularly, keeping bacteria at bay is essential.

Roses are highly anti-bacterial - they're capable of completely destroying Propionibacterium acnes, the bacteria that leads to acne. This is good news for blemish-prone skin.

Using rose water to tone skin or investing in a natural, rose-based cleanser, could really help you on your quest to clearer skin.

2. Roses promote younger-looking skin
